Penetrometer PAGANI TG63-100

Description

Penetrometer PAGANI TG63-100 can be configured on request to perform continuous dynamic penetrometric tests, static penetrometric tests (CPT), or both. As regards the dynamic tests, depending on the most commonly tested soil types, the penetrometer can be equipped with different hammer systems (DPSH super heavy, DPH heavy, or DPM medium). It also allows disturbed samples to be taken, as well as undisturbed samples which permit better stratigraphic interpretation.

The TG63-100 sets itself apart with its high energy efficiency. Indeed, around 78% of the energy is transmitted to the rods. It guarantees perfect verticality when driving in the rods. It reduces testing times by allowing the rods and their liner tubes to be driven into the ground at the same time. It makes removal of the entire rod possible. It features an anchoring system installed on the mast which allows machine positioning times to be significantly reduced, along with the stress when driving the test equipment into the ground.

The TG63 series penetrometer features a hydraulic tracked carriage which offers excellent manoeuvrability, even on uneven terrain. It can even be positioned on very steep slopes thanks to its three stabilisers, and the mast can be tilted continuously, meaning it is always perfectly vertical. It is a highly flexible machine, which can be used by one single operator.

Static penetrometric tests can be performed with a mechanical bit (Begemann) and manual acquisition (CPT), or using different (optional) bits such as the piezocone (CPTU) or seismic piezocone (S-CPTU) which offer a more reliable stratigraphic interpretation and determination of the profile of the speed of the shear waves (Vs). The static/dynamic method allows information to be obtained along verticals composed of terrain with different mechanical characteristics (from very soft to very hard and compact), while it is possible to overcome particularly hard strata thanks to a rotation head which allows pre-drilling (optional).
